Artist Profile:
Hạ-Lan Văn (b. 2000) is a sculptor whose practice is inspired by the lives of materials, the capacity of tools, thinking with her hands, and the courageous process of making. She is interested in how carving — whether wood, time, or otherwise, is the the process of choice-making and clarification. Born and raised in Oregon, USA. Hạ-Lan graduated in 2023 from Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Product Design. She is currently based in Saigon.
