ARTIST STATEMENT

I reused clay from my previous unfired works to create a flat circle in the shape of a cardboard. The idea of recycling and cardboard materialparticularly interested me. The black spots of impurities mixed during the deinstallation of raw clay works, and the striped patterns of the cardboard reminded me of the moon. I made 12 pieces with different patterns as a moon seasonal calendar.
